ddh Posted July 8, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is it just me or is the forum configured so that if you are inactive for a while (20 minutes or so) or visit other sites, you must log in again and again and again. Should'nt we stay logged in until we log out or until we are absent for several hours ? I find this a tad annoying. Insights ?

andybarton Posted July 8, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2006 Have you clicked on the "Remember me" check box at the top right hand corner when you login? Have you got cookies enabled? (I don't have this problem - Mac OSX 10.4.7 with either Safari or Firefox depending on which Mac I am at)

ed_oneal Posted July 8, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 8, 2006 One time, and only one time, after I had logged out, I came back to log in and it had remembered me. Except for that one time, I have had to type in the user name and password. What are others experiencing? Ed

leicapages Posted July 9, 2006 Share #12 Posted July 9, 2006 Cookies are not, as a rule, activated in my case for the reason of privacy protection that many websites do NOT offer. I don't think it should be too difficult or technologically challenging for this forum to behave like the old forum and keeping users logged on for longer time...
