Annibale G. Posted April 5, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning, I'm going for some reportages in black and white as usually I do, recently I have some doubts on using equipment. On one M, for wide angle I will use a 28mm or a 35 mm; but for normal I really don't know. According to your experience and your knowledge , what do you think it's better to use between a 50mm on M body or a 60mm Macro on R body? It could be a stupid question I know. christer Posted April 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 5, 2010 If you have two M bodies, then the answer is clear. 50mm on second M body. Do you use more than one type b+w film (or do you feel all prints must have an identical film look)? I mean, do you use different types b+w film like normal speed and high speed during one assignment. If you do, then the use of two M bodies gives you more flexibility than one M and one R. See you sometime on Skype, Chris
Annibale G. Posted April 5, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted April 5, 2010 well maily I use one kind of film
peter_n Posted April 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted April 5, 2010 Annibale, I use two bodies with the same film in each. For a two lens kit I use 28mm and 50mm together, or 35mm and 75mm together. So in your case I would take the 50 with the 28, or the 60 with the 35.
Annibale G. Posted April 5, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted April 5, 2010 I was wondering if would be too different the results on print between a normal and a macro lens, in this case between a Leica 28mm f/2 ( or M 35 f/2) and the Leica R Elmarit 60mm Macro.
