k2kv Posted April 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I'm enjoying my recently acquired D2 and noticed that when I'm outside in bright light, I often see vertical lines streaking in the EVF (and LCD) from various reflections and highlights in the scene. This never happens in other -- more docile -- light, and the evf seems fine otherwise -- nice color, good contrast, etc. Is this normal? Anyone else notice this? Thanks so much in advance! mjh Posted April 3, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 3, 2010 It’s called “smearing” and is absolutely normal under the conditions you’ve described. It won’t show up in the images you take. Movies are a different matter, though.
