Samir Jahjah Posted March 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Any information on when Leica will start shipping their next production of 50 mm Lux? This lens remains hard to find, and the two I found and tried had issues (one with the hood, the other one with inaccurate focus).
Advertisement Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Hi Samir Jahjah, Take a look here Next batch of 50 mm summilux. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tobey bilek Posted March 31, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2010 I think they are working full out on M9. Leica makes batches of lenses on an annual basis and they make what they detirmine will sell in a year. If they run out, they run out. You can expect delivery one year after the last batch. tategoi Posted March 31, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2010 Does that mean those currently available, if any, are returned and refurbished stocks?
tobey bilek Posted March 31, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2010 Could be or just never sold from the last run.
ezc203 Posted April 1, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 1, 2010 A couple of chrome ones popped up in Hong Kong in February, but were going for 35000 HK$, which is about 4500 USD.
michali Posted April 1, 2010 Share #6 Posted April 1, 2010 I've just had a chat with my dealer here in France on another matter and he mentioned that he has a brand new 50mm Summilux available for sale at normal retail price. As I don't want to give him "free advertising" at the expense of the dealers who sponsor / advertise on the Forum, if anyone's looking for one, send me a PM and I'll give you his details.
