tomlianza Posted May 24, 2010 Share #121 Posted May 24, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) You reach equilibrium when you run out of money to buy gear. I never sell gear, so today aim at equilibrium, I guess.. Regards Tom
Advertisement Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Hi tomlianza, Take a look here Anyone reached 'Leica equilibrium' and happy with exactly the gear they have?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Xmas Posted May 24, 2010 Share #122 Posted May 24, 2010 I need a few lens hoods, filters and back caps, and I've not bought any thing more than that for 5 months, but if I think about the future, and sit down in one of Red Dots leather chairs... I might fail to answer a master mind question and Ivor would have my card in his reader... Noel
Guest AgXlove Posted May 24, 2010 Share #123 Posted May 24, 2010 Anyone who's reached Leica Nirvana, and happy with exactly what they already have? I don't pine for the S2, the X1, or an R camera and lenses - I'm only interested in the M system. Still, Leica makes it damn near impossible to reach Leica Nirvana - they keep releasing wonderous new M optics!
jonoslack Posted May 24, 2010 Share #124 Posted May 24, 2010 Hi There I thought I was fixed for lenses . . . . I've managed to resist the 21 and 24 'luxes and the new nocti the 18SE and the 21 elmarit . . . . but the new 35 'lux has me scuppered. However, a couple of years ago I had 11 M lenses - now it's down to 7, and I might just end up with less than that. The really nice thing is that when you come to sell something a couple of years afterwards, you find that you haven't lost any money . . . . sometimes you can even make a profit. Hmmm, why the paring down? My philosophy is "if they're paid for, keep 'em!" I learned that lesson the hard way - by selling off my Hasselblad kit that I wasn't using ("if I'm not using it, I must not need it"). I lived to regret that decision... Take care to not end up in the same boat - JMHO.
