M9 lightmeter visibility

I've been using my new MP all week and today picked up the M9.

The very first thing that I noticed - apart from the fact that it's a bit porky and has a screen on the back :D is that the lightmeter arrows and dot are absolutely TINY (and not as bright).

I wonder why this is ? I guess at the LED panel in the camera simply being different to accomodate the speeds it needs to show on A mode, thus leaving no room for the bold and very clear arrows you get on the MP ?

Why is this? (My MP is .72 - I wonder if it is this slight magnification difference?)

I think it is true that, theoretically, a lower magnification finder will be darker than an equivalent higher magnification one but I wouldn't have thought that 0.72x v. 0.68x would make a lot of difference.

I might be imagining it but I've often suspected the view through the M9 finder is warmer (more yellow) than the view through earlier M cameras but I'm too lazy to get my MP out of the cupboard and directly compare.

I can't see any difference in the clarity of the viewfinder between my M6 and my M9. There is a difference in the led's. The triangles in the M6 are larger then the triangles in the M9, this has probably to do with all the other information that has to be shown in the M9 (my M6 is a classic one, so has only the two triangles). Further the M9 adhusts the brightness of the leds automaticly based on the ambient brightness, which is not done by the M6.
