wparsonsgisnet Posted March 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sean has just published an interesting piece on viewfinders and how a photog sees the object of her/his desire [my fun, not his words]. This is an intriguing discussion about the different viewfinder systems (including a wire frame, if we can stretch the envelope for "system"). It's most enjoyable and is illustrated with images that are familiar to his readers. it is a treat to have some new thoughts attached to images that we've seen. What a kick. As usual, it's good reading. It's about digital cameras; his predilection for Leica M's led me to post here. Regards to all,

Jeff S Posted March 17, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2010 Bill, I'm sure you've read his other essays...the best part of his site IMO (and he agrees). Jeff
lars_bergquist Posted March 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 18, 2010 I too have read this piece, and as some of you may already know, Sean and I are very much in agreement. Rengefinder photography is a very different kind of photography from SLR work. Your basic attitude is and must be different. Vive la différence!
