Noctilux 0.95 purple fringe

On the Sony a7ii I have never seen this pneumonia when using my Noctilux 0.95...saying that mine is one of the newer ones

 

I assume "pneumonia" means "phenomena" according to your spell-corrector :)

Anyways, I find it quite unlikely that Leica has changed glass in the newer lens batches.

 

Are you shooting RAW with your A7ii ? It is possible that with JPEGs the camera may be applying software CA corrections (some  algorithms work nice also on longitudinal CA).

Here is another example of this phenomenon:

 

Have you tried running the chromatic aberration filter in Lightroom? CA is very effectively removed via software, because it only needs to remove the colour tint, the resolution details are not lost.
