CheshireCat Posted April 24, 2015 Share #61 Posted April 24, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) On the Sony a7ii I have never seen this pneumonia when using my Noctilux 0.95...saying that mine is one of the newer ones I assume "pneumonia" means "phenomena" according to your spell-corrector Anyways, I find it quite unlikely that Leica has changed glass in the newer lens batches. Are you shooting RAW with your A7ii ? It is possible that with JPEGs the camera may be applying software CA corrections (some algorithms work nice also on longitudinal CA). Advertisement Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Hi CheshireCat, Take a look here Noctilux 0.95 purple fringe. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Mornnb Posted April 24, 2015 Share #62 Posted April 24, 2015 Here is another example of this phenomenon: Have you tried running the chromatic aberration filter in Lightroom? CA is very effectively removed via software, because it only needs to remove the colour tint, the resolution details are not lost.
