I don't plan on getting an X1 having bought an M9 (did think about the X1), but I think the two features that still have meaning are: HD video, and the fast/wide zoom lens

I am tempted - I too own a M9, but wouldn't mind a small cam for "ever day" use (leave it in the car kinda thing...

For me the M9 is it, but I can't always have it with me - still too nervous to leave it in the car despite insurance - - I own the Lumix GF1, but the images can't stand up to the Leica ....

The GF1 is now "my car camera"..... :)

Subject to change but I always keep the Dlux4 in my briefcase. I'll probably keep it for bike rides, canoe outings, etc. at least until the newness of the X1 wears off.

The video feature is nice on the Dlux4 but never use it. Of course if I sell the camera, that's when I'll wish I had a video option. :D

Have been using D-Lux 4 since one year, but grew unhappy about it lately when had the chance to compare it with Canon S90: smaller size and excellent IQ especially at hi ISO...

I'm thinking about the X1 and eventually will take the place of D-Lux 4 together with my GF1
