LeicaTobin Posted March 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can you use any of the leica hoods on the Voigtlander f1.4/35mm? The one I am thinking about is the Leica Metal Lens Hood with Lens Hood Cap for the 35mm f/2.5 & 50mm f/2.5 Summarit-M Lenses. A friend of mine as one and sold all his leica gear and I have a voigtlander on the way. Wondering if anyone uses that one on their 35 1.4? Thanks! Advertisement Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Hi LeicaTobin, Take a look here Voigtlander f1.4/35mm different hood?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
giordano Posted March 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 14, 2010 No. The Voigtlander 35/1.4 has a bayonet mount for its lens hood while the Summarits have an external thread. Both have internal filter threads, but the Voigtlander's is 43mm while the 50mm Summarit's is 39mm.

Xmas Posted March 15, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 15, 2010 The Cosina hoods for the CV lenses and the ZM lenses will interchange when the only difference is the names on the hoods.e.g. CV40mm f/1.4 and ZM 50mm f/2. The hood for the late Elmar 50m f/2.8 (39m threaded) is usable on the 5cm CV f2.5. Noel
