stnolan Posted March 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here are just a few from my first day with the X1. The weather is crummy in DC but got out to shoot some low light f2.8 shots. These are just jpegs, with very little post. So far I am happy and I although initially I was bothered by the AF speed it is very easy to adjust to it and now it's no problem. I was pleased that you can also make the shutter completely silent. NZDavid Posted March 13, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 13, 2010 I like them, especially the differential focus. No problem with focus in low light by the look of it, but no fast-moving subjects! I find the colors look cold, especially the candles and pews. This seems common to all digital images where white balance may technically be more accurate, but you feel subjectively the colors should be warmer. Fireworks is another example. 'Course, you could always change them in post processing.
stnolan Posted March 13, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted March 13, 2010 Actually I was messing around with the menu's and some of these were shot with low saturation and high contrast......sorry should have mentioned that.
