Guest badbob Posted November 24, 2010 Share #21 Â Posted November 24, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I swap cards constantly in all my cameras and use card readers to transfer the data. In ten years and six different cameras, I've never had an issue. Â That's amazing. I know a semi-famous computer and photo guru who says the exact opposite. One thing I can say for certain - if you don't remove the card, you reduce the risk. There is no question about that.

If you reduce one risk in life, you usually increase the chances of another risk. If you decide to fly instead of driving, you decrease your chance of an autombile accident, but you increase the chance your junk will get touched.
