hi , I have placed a pre order for leica M9 from US and its taking for ever, I am very surprised that you can get it sooner, if you can help me get one i would really appreciate it

Hi there,

I went there today and hell, I'm much poorer now.

On the other hand, I joined the M9 owners club :)

Just got home now, at 22.30, so not really a good time to go around and test it ( although I did ofc ) but I can see already the ISO improvements and other bits.

Its a great camera and I will post a mini review to help M8 owners in the fence after a couple weeks.

On the other hand, I talked to the store manager and he has another batch of M9's coming.

Let me know who wants his direct email and please remember that VAT deduction is only valid from orders OUTSIDE europe and its YOUR responsability to do it, not the camera store... still.... may I add the black M9 is gorgeous ? )

I wanted to get my second body last week and out of curiosity I called one of my favourite dealers Leica Shop in Austria. They had one on stock and could send to me following day. I rushed to the bank hoping that I really got lucky, just to found out that my wife has paid a deposit for our new kitchen. So ..I had to let it go….But the conclusion is that M9 is there, waiting time should be much shorter if any.

Hi there

Any ideas on where to get an M9 now...? I guess a few months have passed and its even harder.

Greeting to all from a new user, in Hong Kong.

It is a Leica M9 wasteland here, sad to say, and unfortunate for anyone coming here thinking it is a shoppers' paradise.

I wish I'd thought of calling Portugal! In fact, I've done the deal via Richard Caplan in London and (again, to my amazement) the price, with shipping, beats the Hong Kong price by about 15%, and delivery by about 6 months. Delivery was 6 weeks.

hello! welcome to the forum...not really such a wasteland..i'm here with mine:D

well, you're half correct. of course hong kong gets the same number of units as anywhere else but it's because most of the m9's here are moved directly up to china for sale where people will happily pay a huge premium making the dealers here a nice profit. there's a better chance of finding one from one of the very good dealers in Singapore or back in europe or the united states
