57guy Posted April 21, 2010 Share #21 Â Posted April 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also have the Leather case (# 18709) but mine is almost perfect. I like the leather and the color. According to Leica it's only in brown color available. First it was too tight so the flash keeps popping out but not anymore. I have to open the case easily because otherwise the lens cap is falling of. Â I have the same case and I have the same problem. The lens cap comes off 50% of the time. Cap pops off and hits the ground and goes tumbling down the street.  I am returning the case and using a small Billingham in the meantime (usually for my M8 and a lens or two), or my sweatshirt pocket
samues Posted May 3, 2012 Share #23 Â Posted May 3, 2012 Has anyone tried purchasing a half leather case from Luigi with success?

HV25 Posted May 4, 2012 Share #25 Â Posted May 4, 2012 I've been using the brown Leica Leather case from the day I bought the X1. Â Mine is beautifully made and fits perfectly. I honestly love the way its made and the look of it too. No complaints whatsoever. Â For days when more things need to be carried around there is Billingham
nippa Posted May 6, 2012 Share #26 Â Posted May 6, 2012 I have the Transport Case and the Ever Ready Case. Â The Transport Case is too padded and is much larger than it should be. The tolerance around the lens is not enough to accommodate the opening movement without pulling the lens cap off and the strap is a thin affair. I too was very disappointed with it. Â The Ever Ready Case with grip and viewfinder is virtually no bigger than the Transport Case alone and provides decent protection against peeling skin. Just a shame that it's a horrible grey. Â I agree with the OP that compared to the case for my DLux4 quality seems to have gone down.
