seattlesteve Posted February 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Before buying the X1 I watched some very helpful video reviews, unboxings, tours, etc. of the X1 and they were quite helpful and I really appreciated them. I purchased the X1 a few days ago and thought that I'd contribute to the growing pool of available resources. Needless to say, the videos are not up to par with some of the professional reviewers out there, but hopefully you'll gain a new perspective on some part of the X1 body or menu. The videos range in length from 4m34s to 7m35s. Enjoy. Part I: Part II: Part III: Part IV:

seattlesteve Posted February 28, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted February 28, 2010 Excellent. Thank you for preparing this useful videos. IMO, the video is on par of the professional reviewers. Thanks for that vote of confidence. I have come to enjoying the online video reviews of cameras as they give a slight different perspective than the typical written reviews. On a side note: GFong, as in Gary Fong? I lived in Singapore for a couple years and used one of your light spheres for quite a while. Fantastic product. seattlesteve Posted February 28, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted February 28, 2010 Excellent videos. Very informative and helpful. Thank for making and posting them. Just curious - what did you shoot the video with? Thank you Michael, I'm glad you liked them. I used an E-P2 with a 20mm f/1.7 lens. The E-P2 makes for a nice stablemate to the X1. I bought mine from a dealer here in Taiwan. It was on order for another customer that failed to pick it up... Worked out well for me. I'm not sure about the rest of his stock though, and it looks like there are some dealers in Europe with slightly better prices.
