I would like to tell you how satisfied I am with the way Meister Camera in Hamburg and Leica solved the problem with a faulty LCD ("Kaffeetasse") on the M8 I bought nearly 2 months ago by phone from that shop. Upon receiving the M8 I noticed the yellowish rectangle on the LCD not immediately, but only after a couple of weeks.

So I emailed to Leica, and they answered advising the LCD's replacement. But that would mean being without camera for at least 3 weeks, and I need it now for work.

It happened that Meister Camera HH had then a chrome M8.2 in very good shape, for only 450 Euros more than what I had paid for the M8. So I ordered it, and was happy with the solution: Hamburg would refund me the whole amount of the faulty camera. But the M8.2 did not arrive: before shipping it, they tested it again, only to be sure, and found that it had the "Kaffeetasse" mark as well! :( So they sended it to Solms, where it was serviced, the LCD was replaced, etc, in about 10 days. Today the M8.2 has arrived, directly from Solms, being 'en route' from Germany to Spain only 2 1/2 days! In the meanwhile I could work with the first M8, which will go to Hamburg tomorrow. The back and forth of emails took more than the actual time of repairing the thing.

I would like to underline how nice and cooperative all the persons were, both in Hamburg and in Solms. I know, it's the correct way of behaving, but it is also to express gratefulness, and that it is what I am doing now.:)
