ho_co Posted February 22, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Okay, it's tacky. But it is unvarnished. The lady is absolute in her respect for Leica. Good to see the marque retaining its prestige in its homeland. In German: W&V: Meine Marken: Karen Heumann Or, Google-ized into English: Google Translate The source is "Werben u. Verkaufen" ('Advertise and Sell'). The original is just as jargon-happy marketing-speak as the translation. The questions are stupid. The premise is: We ask promotion specialists about their own brand choices. When Karen Heumann is asked what brand she has remained true to, what brand she would give a testimonial for, what brand might sponsor her, it's Leica each time. She does say she comes from "the town where the cameras are made." But don't forget Mark 6.4 and Matthew 13.57, about prophets being honored everywhere except in their own hometowns and among their own relatives.
