gib_robinson Posted February 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I haven't seen any mention of a hot-shoe unit that can trigger an SF 58 flash. Is there one available? If not, is there a well-made cord that will work? I had a Nikon cord that works with Metz flashes on a DMR/R9. Is that really the only option for off-camera flash on the M9? I haven't read the manual carefully because I don't own the flash, but I don't see any mention in the table of contents of a send/receive radio signal that would work with a transmitter like the pocket wizard. Advertisement Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Hi gib_robinson, Take a look here M9 Off-Camera flash. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Walt Calahan Posted February 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2010 I have successfully used a Nikon SC-29 cord with my M6 TTL and an SF24 strobe for off camera flash. Can't say if the SF-58 will work. If you have a friend with the Nikon cord, I suggest you try it out.
gabriel Posted February 22, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 22, 2010 The Nissin extension cord (I think it is the SC 01) also works well and has the advantage of also providing an accessory shoe for an external viewfinder etc at the same time
