mitchell Posted December 16, 2006 Share #81 Posted December 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) If you download the Beta can you process images with it until the complete version is available, or is this just to play with for a few days or weeks? Do processed images have watermarks? I don't want to download it, like it, and then not be able to use it. Thanks, Mitchell
Advertisement Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Hi mitchell, Take a look here Beta of Photoshop CS3 available from the 15th of Dec . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted December 16, 2006 Author Share #82 Posted December 16, 2006 Mitchell, it's operational until at least May 2007. No watermarks, works just like the 'proper' version - although there will be bugs as it's a beta. Interestingly it does say that it will work after the cut off date, but there will be a message once a day letting you know that it's a beta.

Jack_Flesher Posted December 17, 2006 Share #85 Posted December 17, 2006 Does anyone know what the following new controls in the new ACR are doing?: Recovery Fill Light Vibrance It appears "recovery" is a highlight recovery tool -- why they didn't just say that, I don't know. Fill light is a shadow lightening or fill tool. Vibrance is tougher to explain, but simply stated it enhances color contrast and saturation between dominant complimentary colors in the image. gesper Posted December 17, 2006 Share #86 Posted December 17, 2006 Thanks Jack. maybe at some point they will have a draft user manual available on-line. Meantime, I lthink it is a great improvement and will continue to experiment.
