rob_x2004 Posted December 14, 2006 Share #22 Posted December 14, 2006 ....you think I'm joking.... You must be. Why would you wait around to buy a cleaning kit to get food off your lens. To let it etch while you make up your mind? If it is that bad God gave you a tongue, and hopefully you have a shirt on your back. Anyone would think Leica badge garbage lenses. They arent that bad. marknorton Posted December 15, 2006 Share #24 Posted December 15, 2006 In the meantime, I suggest you use a Q-Tip to lift some of the grease. If you can't wait for Eclipse - which is (highly volatile) methanol - you can also use iso-propyl alcohol which is not as volatile and will not dry as quickly but will still clean the lens. As always, apply the fluid to the cloth or Q-Tip, not to the lens surface directly.
