Expodisk for M9

Yes, use the manual WB function. The expodisc works pretty well but I don't use it much. I bought it for the M8 but the M8 Auto WB became so good with firmware improvements that I rarely used the expodisc.

The M9 auto WB has not been adequately refined yet. However, its pretty easy to do WB fixes in PP so I still rarely use the expodisc.

Good luck.

I use it with the M9 and love it. I have a big one (77mm I think). It's easy to set-up the manual white balance and even easier to change it once you've set it up. The results are, in my opinion, great -- especially for incandescent lighting. Example:

Thanks for this thread topic. I have the Expodisc and know how to use it with my Nikon cameras. Could somebody please elaborate the steps required to use the Expodisc with the M9. Thanks for your help.

I just figured it out. It's described in Leica M9 Instructions_en.pdf page 41, Basic picture settings / 127. This procedure is even easier than the one for the Nikon cameras.

Just remember to take a pic directly on the dominant light source, not the subject.

Expodisk looks good, but question is how much you are gonna use it in the end. M8 auto wb is suffering when incadencent interior lighting, so in that respect the expodisk is good to have
