jaay Posted February 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Initial previews suggested that Leica would release some sort of adapter that would allow at least a polarizer to be used on the X1 - any word on this? Advertisement Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Hi jaay, Take a look here Any need on an external filter adapter yet?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
grober Posted February 11, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 11, 2010 Polarizer for the X1 would be cool indeed as would an external, supplementary closeup lens. If the production of the X1 reaches a sufficient volume, I'm sure some enterprising individual would come with with an adapter ring of some sort for the existing threads already on the camera's lens ring -- and that probably faster than Leica itself. (Leica is very vague when one asks about these existing threads.) Given the restrained market for this camera, I wouldn't expect to see third party accessories any time soon whatever the intensity of our desire for them. -g
ziggurat Posted February 12, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2010 Hello chaps, If no one comes out with a proprietary adaptor you could always contact SRB Griturn Ltd and they will probably make you an extension tube at a very reasonable price. They provided me with one for my Digilux 1 a few years ago. Cheers Johnny
