nhabedi Posted February 9, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted February 9, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'll be in New York City next month and I'm thinking about sparing my films half of the X-ray dose and buying them on site. What would be a good place to go with a reasonable chance that they have Tri-X in stock? Preferably near Times Square because that's where I'll be staying. Â Thanks, Edi. msk2193 Posted February 9, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted February 9, 2010 B&H is your best source. They are south of Times Square by some 9 blocks, but well worth the visit. They have always had roll and sheet film in stock when I needed some.
Jager Posted February 10, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted February 10, 2010 I'll be in NYC next month, as well, and was already planning on visiting B&H. Given the stunning breadth of what they stock, I've always imagined it must be this huge mega-store. Rather like a little piece of photographer's heaven, here on earth. Is that what it's like? Â I'm guessing a physical visit to the store might not be the best thing for one's finances....

tgray Posted February 10, 2010 Share #8 Â Posted February 10, 2010 B&H for sure. It's worth a visit just to see it. Â Their film prices are good though, stuff is always fresh, and selection is great. I'm sad that I don't live as close anymore and can never make it in. Â Be aware that they are closed on Saturday.
