The Leica X1 Files

 

Maybe it's quite possible that if Leica ever decide to produce a Special Edition(s) of the X1 ( but please, please, PLEASE !! ... not as many Special Editions of the X1 or any other Leica camera as there are/were of the M6 in its ubiquitous guises) then there may well be a proper chest of drawers in Zebra Wood or Birds Eye Birch (or Maple ) instead of 'magnetic cardboard'

 

BTW ... after charging the X1 battery I tried the camera briefly in my kitchen and did not notice any shutter delay ... contrary to the impression given in another post on the forum. Similarly, when I tried a demo camera in a well known London dealer's shop last week there was no noticeable shutter lag ... it fired instantly.
