potratz Posted February 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok so I need....Yet another bag I have been back and forth with the compares but does anyone know the difference between: Billingham Hadley Pro Billingham | Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Black/Black) | 505201-01 vs Billingham Shoulder Bag Billingham | Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large | 503501-01 | B&H Photo I know there is a difference in size since the shoulder bag is larger, does not have a handle on top nor does it have a back zipper pouch but are these the only differences? The Pro bag is more expensive so does the items above make up for the price difference or does the pro have more leather vs the shoulder bag? Thank you for your input

Leicaiste Posted February 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2010 I know there is a difference in size since the shoulder bag is larger, does not have a handle on top nor does it have a back zipper pouch but are these the only differences? The handle and the zipped pouch are well worth the price difference IMO. When your grab the bag by the handle, even if the bag is open, everything stays inside thanks to the handle perfect location. And the back zipped waterproof pocket is a must for papers. The only similar bag that I like almost as much is the smaller Domke J-803. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/111638-recommend-case-please-3.html Lucien
jevidon Posted February 15, 2010 Share #4 Posted February 15, 2010 I have the Hadley Pro and even on the rare occasion when I lifted the bag, forgetting to snap the closures, nothing fell out. I like to avoid zippers on the bag since they can, in time, leave scratch marks on your equipment. Better to get the Pro. Without the zipper, your equipment is more accessible and less likely to be scratched..
dpattinson Posted February 16, 2010 Share #5 Posted February 16, 2010 I prefer the pro, the handle is indeed very useful. One more difference is that the pro allows the attachment of accessory pockets at each end, whereas the other hadley models do not. ymmv, David. potratz Posted February 20, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted February 20, 2010 I now have the pro bag but wow is the fit tight with my 15" macbook so the search goes on. I might have located a Blk/Blk Bill Photo Eventer bag which I think would be perfect since it has all elements of pro is seems but is just a little larger. I really like the Pro size but it is a must to carry the laptop since I want to make it my everyday bag. Thank you for all of the help.

The Eventer's insert is not that convenient for camera IMO, but will help protect your 15". Lucien
