andalus Posted February 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got back to North Carolina from three weeks in Kenya with my MP and Summilux ASPH 50. Shot Velvia 100. Now, apparently, there's just ONE place in NC to get E6 processing. Crazy. I got back two days ago and will pick up film in two days. Can't wait to see what I've got. But I have to say, if I had the funds, I'd spring for the M9 cause as much as I like slides, it's a hassle getting film developed properly and in a timely manner. On the other hand, nothing like having a camera one knows is reliable, problem free...which is the MP!
Advertisement Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Hi andalus, Take a look here Kenya with film. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Joachim123 Posted February 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2010 I dont know where you are in NC but here is a link to a lab that develops slides. I also only shoot slide film with medium format and 35mm. I would never think of getting rid of my M6 and going digital. JW PHOTOLABS
tobey bilek Posted February 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2010 Do not send all the film in at once incase of a glitch. I know prows who would duplicate everything and only send it half. Kenya may not be bad, but where do you charge batteries in some remote locations? There is the case for MP.
andalus Posted February 9, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted February 9, 2010 JW Photo is exactly where I sent my film. Many years I have done biz with them. They have turned some slides into exquisite Cibachromes...
