In more than 10 years I never had any problems with my Leica M6 but now I have a strange problem with the meter... In fact it doesnt give me the correct information anymore (ie. always giving the wrong exposure), so it seems that the meter does't work correcly. I need to know: a) if there is something to try before going to the leica assistants. if not, is it a recognised problem - easy or hard to fix? I have tried fresh batteries and numerous tests on film with different estimated exposures but nothing has changed. Thank you in advance for any advice! ho_co Posted February 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2010 Welcome to the forum! Sorry that I don't have any words of wisdom for you. For me a metering problem has always meant a trip to Leica. Changing out the batteries the only user intervention I know of, and you've done that. At least if you have Leica repair it, they check and clean everything and give you a year's warranty on the whole camera, so you know everything is right. Good luck!
