Original serial number is indeed a Leica I but, it was not converted to a Leica II. The conversion is to a Leica IIf from the mid-1950's! That means that a camera produced about 1930 was converted to the latest specifications in the 1950's - 25 years later. I wonder if I'll be able to convert my M8 to an M18......
