In case you didn't know - I am "TheLeicaGuy" at theleicaguy.com. I got the first Leica S2-P delivered before the end of 2009 and have been shooting with it non stop. You can follow my artistic endeavors on my website - The Leica Guy.

These photos were taken as part of my masters thesis. The images feature model Emily Therese at an abandoned greenhouse in Yonkers, NY.

Interesting to see someone giving it a bash rather than philosophizing over photos of a shed that cant get away. Glamour is not really my kind of interest, but cool stuff. Post more about the traps. Thanks.

Ps ... Out of interest, what is the post process to the effect you used on the bacground to 'Image 7' of the set?

Most of what I assume you are referring to is actually attributable to bokeh blur as the images were shot wide open (with nd filters as necessary). I remember reading one of the initial reviews quoting one of the leica engineers stating that the lenses were specifically designed to be shot wide open... so I invested in top notch ND glass - just as I did with the noctilux.

Beyond that - its an additional layer of texture that had been a different capture in itself - also from the abandonment at yonkers.

Yes, that was Peter Karbe who said that. Hardly just "one of the engineers".... he is the head of optical design at Leica. :)

Most of what I assume you are referring to .....

It was really the post process I was referring to, the additional layer. I thought it might have been a brush erase through to a duplicate. Ive been lazy and never really given it a go. I shoudl try it some time.

Additional texture layered onto the original... all textures were captured on premises making the entire image a collage of original images from the location.
