Yes. Foto hobby in Frankfurt has one. Very nice. Tried a burst of jpegs of someone walking towards me, always in the center of the frame, and they were all in focus. Software 1.0 = switches off sooner or later, no RAW without jpegs, short MF scale with only 2m before infinity but many more steps in there.

It's beter than a digital CM. Same feeling, better results. 2010 price level, as we know. RAW IQ equal to the one of much bigger Canikons. If we wait much longer, some might decide that Ricoh's 33mm is the focal length they like or get new ideas from Anaheim.

I'm slightly worried that I might have missed out on a firmware update for my Speed Graphic; will this affect my photos?

Did you not get the conversion to make it a "Speedy Graphic". Well worth having!

I called in at Stephens Leica today (sat) to see the X1. I must admit, I was expecting to be disappointed (the thing is silver, the lcd is only 4600 pixels, it doesn't have a grip (I know, I can buy one, but it should have one already), it takes Raw and Jpeg (I never shoot Jpeg) but I quite liked it.

The screen is bright enough, at least in the shop; and the quality of the photographs is clear to see. I'd heard that the focussing was slow but it was a lot quicker than manual focus and didn't hunt. It's not too small but will easily fit in a jacket pocket and will be invisible on the street. There is not a lot of silver to be seen. It is very, very quiet. the continuous setting is very fast.

Thanks for the demo, David. David said that stock may be in by next weekend. I'm tempted, but will try to wait to see what the PMA photo show brings in Feb.

Mike.
