noah_addis Posted January 29, 2010 Share #21 Posted January 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm using the Domke Gripper Strap without swivels (7406BK1 Domke Gripper Camera Strap, 1" without Swivel, Black.) since more than a decade and couldn't be happier! These are the only straps I've used for quite some time. They may not be pretty but they're strong, simple and they don't slide off of your shoulder. Often I wrap the strap around my hand/wrist while shooting, so I see no need for a specialized device for that purpose. I also use the gripper straps on large DSLR rigs. If one can hold a 1dMKIII and 70-200/2.8, it should have no problem with an M9, even with the largest of Leica lenses. I do recommend the ones without the swivel/QR. It's one more thing to come loose and/or bang against your camera or lens. Though for fairness I should note that my paper used to get us the swivel version and it never really caused problems. GarethC Posted January 29, 2010 Share #22 Posted January 29, 2010 Here's an alternative, I got Luigi to make a wrist strap with the quick release buckle and also bought one of his neck straps with the quick release buckles, gives me the option of neck or wrist strap that I can change quickly. Luigi also put the little leather bell covers over the buckles to protect the camera from getting marked up by the buckle (it's an M8, don't tell the mods )
