thrid Posted January 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sometimes you get lucky. I picked up this 1937 Elmar 3.5/50 (392###) today at a local camera store for a mere 35 Euros. The lubricants are slightly dry and the spring on the infinity lock is a little weak, but the glass is quite clean and useable. Makes you wonder about all the things that lens must have seen during the past 73 years.

[/qUOTE] This lens is the easiest one to dismount, clean and lubricate.

thrid Posted January 24, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted January 24, 2010 This lens is the easiest one to dismount, clean and lubricate. Are instructions available? I've heard that they are very simple to work on. thanks
thrid Posted January 24, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted January 24, 2010 a real gem...enjoy!andy Thanks, I was really surprised by how little they wanted for it. At first I thought it was a typo on the tag. 35 euros will barely buy you a brick of Tri-X these days...
