Hmm.. that would mean it'll still be a smart idea to use a template and black/white enamel to code the lens to avoid the hassle of changing the coding from the menu when swapping a lens. Most of the times yes, but there are lenses where there's a screw in place of a white dot. Those have been known to be interpreted as black by the cameras coding sensor. So, at times white is also necessary.
