drunk_evil_666 Posted February 15, 2010 Share #23 Posted February 15, 2010 I can't because the file is off, but there is no difference between the firmware 2.1 & 2.2, only the bug in french language fixed .

ho_co Posted February 16, 2010 Share #25 Posted February 16, 2010 Nicole, I think those were the same benefits offered in version 2.1. I don't think 2.1 was on line more than a day or two, so Leica just kept the same description when they posted 2.2. So I would say you and de6 are both right. Panasonic was clearer about their changes from version 2.0 to 2.1: *The ver.2.1 is the corrected version of the firmware previously released as ver.2.0. (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0910/09102101panasoniclx3firmwarev21.asp) (AFAIK, Leica never issued the equivalent of Panasonic's flawed ver 2.0, but had a different problem in their own 2.1.) iwn Posted March 31, 2011 Share #28 Posted March 31, 2011 We have two D-Lux 4:s in the family and both are un-upgradable. Battery 100 percent full. SD card includes DCIM and MISC folders despite of formatting the card. Firmware bin is out in the open, should it be in DLX_220-folder? Doing as adviced, camera connects to PC ok, but nothing else happens.
andybarton Posted March 31, 2011 Share #29 Posted March 31, 2011 The .bin file needs to be saved loose at the top level of the SD card - i.e. NOT in any folder. You do NOT need to connect the camera to a PC to do this - everything is done off the SD card. Have you tried the tips and tricks offered previously in this thread? iwn Posted April 1, 2011 Share #30 Posted April 1, 2011 Silly me, I don´t know why I left the USB-cable connected. Unplugged the upgrade went like a charm. Especially the over/under-exposure upgrade is most welcome! Thank you
