findford Posted January 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know that there have been some comments elsewhere on using a Canon ST-E2 transmitter on a Leica M, but I guess I'm a bonehead and can't get mine to work. My Canon Speedlite 580EX works fine (in manual mode only, of course) when I put it directly on my M9, but it fires too late when remotely triggered by the ST-E2. I've tried different shutter speeds, etc., to no positive effect. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? By the way, when the 580EX is in slave mode, it seems to stay in E-TTL mode; I can't figure out how to put it into manual mode as a slave (if that's even the right thing to do). Thanks.
