Just curious what the 0.68 finder on the M9 means with 28mm lenses compared to a regular MP - is there any more room around the lines in practice.

I cannot stand the 28mm lines in the 0.72M and am wondering if the M9 is just a little more comfortable with 28s?

I didn't notice much difference (if any) between my former 0.72x M6 and the M9. The 28mm lines are right at the outer edge if I look straight through, and to see the additional room beyond the lines I have to peer around.

We've had this discussion (ad nauseum) before. The extra thickness of the M8/9 body creates a tunnel like effect which reduces the field of view through the finder (if compared with an equivalent magnification finder on a thinner body). The lower magnification finder 0.68x helps squeeze everything in but the 28mm framelines are still a tighter fit than the corresponding frames on a film 0.72x finder.
