wparsonsgisnet Posted January 12, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am still using the M8 charger instead of the M9 charger because the M9 charger doesn't indicate when it's finished charging. That is, both lights just stay on. With the M8 charger, the charging indicator turns off when it's done. The manual has this (very brief) set of "instructions" 1.40 Green (CHARGE) LED to indicate charging 1.41 Yellow (80%) LED Am I missing something? Advertisement Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi wparsonsgisnet, Take a look here M9 charger doesn't read "Done". I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted January 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 12, 2010 The green LED flashes while the battery is being charged, and is on solid when charging is complete.
Noel Holland Posted January 12, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2010 Am I missing something? Page 107 of my manual states (right below the picture of someone putting a battery into the charger): The green LED marked CHARGE (1.40) starts flashing to confirm that charging is in progress. As soon as the battery has charged to at least 4/5 of its capacity, the yellow LED marked 80% (1.41) also lights up. When the battery is fully charged, i.e. 100% capacity reached (after approx. 31/2 hours), the green LED changes from flashing to continuously lit. To be honest I know where you are coming from. I also keep expecting the lights to switch off too.
wparsonsgisnet Posted January 12, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted January 12, 2010 Noel, thanks for the reference. This page is NOT in the index, and I went thru the soft-copy manual a couple of times looking for exactly this info. I already feel better!
thompsonkirk Posted January 13, 2010 Share #5 Posted January 13, 2010 Thanks for the quote! I'd expected the 80% light to go out when 100% was reached (there's something bordering on logical about that). Kirk
James R Posted January 13, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 13, 2010 Thanks for the quote! I'd expected the 80% light to go out when 100% was reached (there's something bordering on logical about that).
