cnguyen Posted December 8, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I would like to see Leica allows the M8 firmware to take manual input from users. I can just enter the focal length and fstop of the M lens I have so firmware can detect and take that into account for vignette correction, etc...Bar code detection will be given priority next will be manual input or ignore it all together. An extra screen with a small sort list of lenses is all you need to program into the LCD menu.
Advertisement Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Hi cnguyen, Take a look here Another suggestion to Leica: M8 - ability to manually set lens focal length and fstop . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted December 8, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2006 Charles, I get into trouble if I make sarcastic remarks, but Sean Reid has been talking about this for weeks...
cnguyen Posted December 8, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted December 8, 2006 Thanks Mark. Didn't read Sean post so I wasn't aware this issue has been brought up before. it's not that hard to implement and it's all in firmware programming so I hope Leica will take notes.
