fefe Posted January 5, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The other day I was running Cornerfix and realized that in the detailed informations there was a dump of the circuit board temperature. So I started looking at the board temperatures of various pictures I took in very cold and very warm environments. So far, the coldest I found is 6C (the camera had spent a full day in a backpack at -15C, I guess the electronics heat up quite fast) and highest is 36C (this is actually surprising it was in a backpack for a few hours and shade temperature was >45C - it was actually reported to spike at 50C). I checked another few hot days pictures and rarely the temperature of the board is reported above 32C which is quite surprising knowing these days were certainly above 40C and the camera was with me outdoors for the whole day. If Sandy is reading this I would be curious to know how Cornerfix estimates the temperature based on the data contained in the DNG (Thanks in advance). As this seems to have quite a small range compared to the temperatures my M8 ended up exposed at.
