Advertisement Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Hi pgk, Take a look here Coastal Flora Mayo. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicamann Posted January 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2010 Well its a beautiful shot...but the lens flare is really distracting and I KNOW that there will be folks that will peep in and say..hmmm I love that lens flare..makes the shot......well not for me Secondly being digital, you can see that immediately, so why not just tip the camera slightly down or sometimes I use my hand above the camera to block out the direct flare and keep shooting until its perfect..with digital there is no excuse to keep trying and shooting until you get "exactly" what you want. With digital , shoot, re-shoot, re frame and shoot again ..use up that memory card..especially in moments like these. Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM
pgk Posted January 3, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted January 3, 2010 Thanks for the feedback John. Acceptability of flare in an image is very personal and you are quite right to say that some love it whilst others obviously do not. In this shot I am happy enough to have it but this shot was actually VERY substantially processed in Photoshop which has accentuated the flare significantly. I'm actually surprised that no-one has picked this up:rolleyes:. By the way, I often do shoot with my hand as an anti-flare device but just not in this case.
