zuma4 Posted January 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I can not get my D-lux4 to acknowledge the new 2.2 firmware upgrade .zip file from a sd card after the download to the sd card. Any help (or even a step by step method) would be appreciated beyond imagination. I did the first upgrade when I acquired the camera and thought with the 2.2 I was doing the same procedure when following the Leica instructions. HELP needed. Thanks, Robert v. Nicoleica Posted January 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 1, 2010 Hi and welcome to the forum, I see that you are using a Mac, and so the .BIN file should have been automatically extracted from the .ZIP file when you downloaded it. So.... Using an SD card. (Preferably a blank one, freshly formatted in the D-Lux 4.) Copy the file DLX4_220.BIN from your downloads folder to the root directory of the SD card. Then check that your battery is fully charged, and that the camera is set to playback mode. Place the SD card in the camera, and switch the camera on. You should then see a 'Please wait' message, followed by the 'Version Up' screen appearing on the camera display. Then select 'Yes' and the firmware upgrade should begin. If the 'Version Up' screen doesn't appear, then please check that you have a full battery, and that you aren't already running version 2.20. If you still have a problem, then try downloading the file again from Leica, and try the process again. (On a Mac, don't forget to delete the original download first, or else the fresh copy will be downloaded with a different name.) The instructions from Leica are pretty good , and if you follow them to the letter it should all work OK. Good luck.
