Leica M Viewfinder for the M8

Thomas, I guess we're all hoping for some new wide-angle lenses at some point - specifically faster lenses (24/28) plus maybe a fixed 16mm f2.8. There is the monster Zeiss of course, but that is the problem, fast wide-angles are going to be big and heavy.

The wide TE looks like a grand p---s extender. Imagine it with a filter adapter on! And the new finder is simply ridiculous, the size of a small electronic flash. I/we hoped for a handy prime 16 or 15 mm lens, with a practical accessory finder. After all, a super wide angle is a 'sometimes lens' for most of us, and the kit should not take up half the bag. So I see great business opportunities for the excellent Cosina/Voigtländer 15 mm lens. And I do hope that they will bring out a rangefinder coupled f:4 lens, because lots of people would love it. I don't think Leica will do it; they have fallen victim to the 'we know better what's good for you' syndrome that once bedeviled Zeiss Ikon.
