chrisleica Posted December 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just purchased a used M8.2 plus new 35/2 'cron. Very pleased with the results so far. I am thinking of buying a Zeiss 25/2. At some point in the future I hope to buy a full-frame Mx, so I was not going to have it modified. Has anyone used this lens (unmodified) on the M8? Should the lens detection setting be switched off or should it be set to UV/IR? Do the Leica UV/IR filters fit correctly to the lens? I understand that the framelines are "approximately" equal to the Zeiss Fov, so a viewfinder (good that it is) is not essential? Thanks for your help. - I hope to post some pictures on my return from vacation.
