alexg2 Posted December 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everybody. I'm quite new on this helpful forum. I have an M9 since a few days, replacing an Epson R-D1. I use Aperture to process my files since I shoot raw files, and I'm happy with this software. I know that there are already some posts about this, but I'm never really happy with red & skin tones with the M9 files at the Aperture opening. The best solution I found is to change some of the Red color sliders : Hue : +10 Saturation : -15 Luminance : -15 But depending on the shots, it's not always the same... I found also some Moiré issues withe the M9 & Aperture. And found that some adjustments in the sliders of the RAW Fine tuning menu can help but I don't know what's the best setting. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience & sorry for my bad english...

An M9-specific RAW profile would be an improved starting point...
neli Posted December 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2009 hiya I'm afraid i've given up on aperture with the M9. Using C1 5 Pro to process the M9 files. Hope Apple brings us Aperture X soon. The last time an Apple product took so long to be updated it was killed. One of the High End Compositing Apps, forgot the name. Back to topic, C1 5 Pro manages quite natural skin tones, red are a little over the top, but no color artefact problems so far. C1 5 Pro has a 30 day free trial and good tutorials on the web site. good luck cornelius
