wmtupas Posted December 24, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone here have any experience with this RAW processor? Raw Photo Processor (RPP) It's suppose to be free. I'm currently using LR 2.6 which came with the M9. A friend recommended this to me as he knows I'm a Mac user. Thanks in advance for your comments. haroldp Posted December 25, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2009 I have used RPP on mac. It's algo's and results appear to be quite good, but it has the most primitive User Interface I have ever seen. I believe it is primarily geared to batch processing groups of raw files with the same. or in-camera parameters. Try it, the price is right. regards ... Wil I make a lot of BW prints, and RPP, in my experience, beats C1 (v.5) and LR (LR3b.) hands down when it comes to BW. It can bring out detail, especially in the darker areas, that the others just can't cope with. For colour, I find it no better or worse than the competition. And it's a lot cheaper too. I found it difficult at first, but it rewards a bit of persistence - but that goes for a lot of software. David
psamson Posted December 25, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 25, 2009 I checked the website and the list of supported cameras. Does anyone know if this works with the D-Lux 4?
rjans Posted December 27, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) They mention "all Leica P&S camera's" so I presume it will work with the DL-4. Best
