k_g_wolf ✝ Posted December 29, 2006 Author Share #224 Posted December 29, 2006 Hello, since more and more birthday wishes are coming in, it´s time to make an up to date calculation in a few days. I´ll come back here the day after NEW YEAR or so to see how we ware doing. In case anybody else likes to do the maths, please feel free to do so. 40odd years-average is of course NOT a must have result. Good to see so many 60 and even 80 year olds around in the LEICA- community. What younger people tend to forget is, that 60 years is hardly a LEICA-cameralife away from 40. So beware, you are getting older faster than you feel ! Best and Happy NEW LEICA- YEAR to you all ------------------------------------------------------- We had an average - according to post #157 (permalink) - of 48.7 years. This calculation included all figures up to no.

d_brown Posted January 21, 2007 Share #235 Posted January 21, 2007 Male, Age 70 Bought first Leica, a IIf in 1956 Bought first M3 in December 1958 The M8 is a wonderful camera, except . . . I've had more trouble and frustrations with the M8s than with the all the Ms I've owned, combined, for the last 50 years, most of which could have been avoided if Leica had though ahead and would openly speak to their loyal, faithful customers through this forum or their own site. I am still optimistic, enjoying the camera and wish Leica well.
