jyrkialanen Posted December 16, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hooray! This is the day I got a black M9 (my first rangefinder by the way) and I'm sooo happy that have to share this with someone, and what would be a better place than this great forum. I bought it "second hand" from a Finnish camera forum. Some guy had bought it with other Leica gear in october from a Finnish Leica retailer and hadn't never even opened the box! (don't worry, it isn't stolen or anything, cause I got the original reciept) I had to buy a new 50mm summicron with it, because the seller wanted to get rid of both the camera and the lens at the same time. And I say had to only because I don't need the cron -I have allready ordered a 50mm lux (anyone interested in buying a brand new cron 50mm, by the way?)... The only lens I have at the moment is a 75 lux which isn't probably the easiest m-lens to start with, but I'll try to post some pics as soon as I'm able to capture something I dear to share. Everything seems to be working fine so far and that's the most important thing. Best regards, Jyrki

kidigital Posted December 16, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 16, 2009 Don't be afraid of using the 75lux on the M9 ... it's a wonderful combination. Kurt

chrism Posted December 17, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Keep the Cron; the Lux might be sometime in arriving! Leica lenses lose very little value from gentle usage, and you'll find the 50 Cron an easier lens to learn focussing with than the 75 Lux. Congratulations on the new M9!
