ShivaYash Posted December 16, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, I have to share this with you, as I know many people on this forum use Luigi's cases. I was given a Thumb Up - model 1 by a friend, however as I use my camera with the case, it was a choice of either one or the other. The Thumbs Up device not fitting whilst the case was on. I spoke to Luigi and he agreed to make a cut out for me, to accommodate the Thumbs Up. The cut out is what one would expect from LeicaTime; very nicely done, sharp and precise. He even conditioned the leather to boot. All with a 3 week turn around, the shipping from Rome accounted for most of that. I'd highly recommend a 'service' if your case is looking a little battered, as mine was. The case once again smells of leather, and will no doubt protect the camera during winter shooting. I'm very pleased.

nanthor Posted December 21, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 21, 2009 My black Luigi half case, which was bought pre-owned, does not have the cut out for the thumbs up device but has stitching and a pressed line both in the shape of the cutout in place for future use of the thumbs up grip. I've never seen this on any other Luigi case. It looks as if I could carefully cut the area out myself for the grip and the stitching would keep the case from deforming. Bob. ShivaYash Posted December 21, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted December 21, 2009 nanthor - would love to see a photo of this. Perhaps its a fake Luigi case? What is the bottom of it like? Thanks,
thechief Posted December 21, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 21, 2009 My previously ordered Luigi case for M8 was with this stitching thumbsup shape too, I also was wishing to cutout by myself but that time it went as present:D so finally I ordered new case with original cutout and with Luigi built in grip.
