Including myself; the M9 has brought 3 new customers to Leica. One of my friends is selling his gear and working extra shifts just to get the M9. I am sure Leica did not expect such success with the M9; hence all the backorders. Anyway, they are not losing customers, but imho gaining. chris_tribble Posted December 8, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2009 This matches my experience - at least 4 photo journalists I know are getting rid of their 1D mk3 kit and switching to 5D2 (85 1.2 + 70-200) + M9 (28/50). Makes a huge amount of sense in terms of weight / image quality) and each camera is being used with some of the best possible lenses around ...
